a glimpse into...my creative process

before I paint I always pray. I thank God for giving me the time and space to paint, the resources, and the creativity to do so. It truly is an honor and a JOY to create, and I don't take it lightly! Then (unless its a commission) I ask God what he wants me to paint. From there, its usually a whirlwind. Lost in the moment, lost in the color, lost in the forms. Until I step back, I've worked the canvas to its limit and I sigh and say "it's finished."

technically speaking, my rule of thumb... layer, layer, layer... and then layer some more.
